Karleen used her bonus check money from her job a few years ago to launch a sustainable rescue idea with a “Save it forward” concept. Maintaining her full-time job, Karleen now spends most of her free time rescuing dogs and finding them a forever home. Fostering saves lives, and it’s not as hard as you may think. 6dogrees is a passionate rescue based off love and volunteers. When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. Ferry Dog Mothers is a Seattle area animal rescue dedicated to saving and rehabilitating dogs. We are proudly foster based, meaning our dogs live in homes, not shelters. Our foster homes just need to provide the time and TLC.
We provide any dog supplies you may need and cover all necessary medical costs for your foster dog. You provide the love and attention and bring the dogs to adoption events at least twice per month. 501 not-for-profit dog rescue we are always thankful for those that support us through monetary donations and other kind gifts. Once a dog is in our program we are responsible for their care & making sure they are healthy. Your donations help us make this process go smoothly.
Forever Home Dog Rescue
Pet stores are over selling dogs, backyard breeders, & puppy mill dogs are a big part of the problem. As they breed the new trendy dogs, these “less desirable” dogs are discarded. The dogs end up in the streets and shelters. All of our dogs have been examined by a vet, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and loved. Send us an email at and we'll send you a foster application.
Our organization - Forever Home Dog Rescue - values your privacy. Any and all application information is private and will not be shared outside of our organization with ANY other party. After a decision is made on a dog, all applicant and adopter personal information will be disposed of by shredding. We do not retain any application information past adoption in an effort to preserve the security and privacy of applicants. Vaccination, microchip and medical records of adopted and current dogs can be accessed under the dogs name and month of adoption. It can cost $400 to save even a healthy dog.

We receive dogs from owner surrenders, overcrowded shelters, puppy-mills and hoarding situations. All of the dogs are housed in private, loving foster homes or at our kenneling facility.
Their mom is a stray in rural Louisiana who rescuers are still trying to catch so they can spay her. She does well with other dogs and enjoys sitting on the couch with you. She has good house manners and can't wait to find her forever home. Forever home dog rescue is not a shelter and thus you cannot see the dogs without an appointment.
We help many dogs in California because 800 dogs per day are dying there. The lack of spay and neuter, and education also adds to the problem leaving many agencies with very limited resources to help the animals. Rescuing dogs is incredibly rewarding – and it can also be exhausting for us and the dogs!
